soundKonverter

If you're looking for a frontend to various audio converters, look no further than the soundKonverter project. This software currently supports backends like oggenc, oggdec, flac, lame, ffmpeg (partly), and mplayer (partly). With soundKonverter, you can easily convert between different audio file formats including ogg, flac, mp3, wav, and wma (decode only).

There are a few known problems with the software, including difficulty starting soundKonverter with arguments if there's already an active instance. However, users can easily solve this problem by using drag'n'drop. The progress bar might not work properly and calibrating the wma decoder only works once per reboot. Still, these issues are minor and don't detract from the overall functionality of the software.

In terms of planned features, the soundKonverter team is working on a profile manager and adding more audio formats. If you have any suggestions, feel free to send them a mail. While the soundKonverter app is still in the early stages of development, it's a promising tool for anyone who wants to easily convert between audio formats. Finally, it should be noted that English is not the developer's native language, so corrections of incongruous expressions in the software are appreciated.
