SPRINT is an emulator software that replicates the Peters Plus super-Speccy, also known as the Sprinter. It allows users to experience the functionality and features of the original console in a digital format.
The project is built in C++ using an object-oriented technique for maximum portability. By default, SPRINT's video mode is 640x480 with 256 colors, and you can edit the SPRINT.INI file to resolve any problems. Additionally, the SDL version of SPRINT now supports windowed mode.
SPRINT is available on various operating systems: WIN9X (SDL+DirectX), MS-DOS (DOS4GW), LINUX (svgalib), and LINUX (SDL+X11). Currently, SPRINT supports a limited number of functions, including Accelerator (all BIOS), Estex (RST #10), and Mouse (RST #30). For a full list of supported functions, check the documentation.
To run SPRINT, you'll need SDL v1.0.8 installed. The latest release has several improvements, but this snapshot is a work in progress. Overall, SPRINT is an impressive emulator that offers robust emulation and compatibility across various operating systems.
