The tnMUD project is a flexible and modular MUD server written in C++. It uses XML (via libXML2) for handling data files that allow you to create new areas effortlessly. The lightweight core of tnMUD can be easily extended by modules that are loadable/unloadable at runtime.
You may wonder why this MUD server was created, given the abundance of others. The answer lies in the fact that the developer wanted to make their own MUD, but they struggled with MUDOS and Lima mudlib as well as some DIKU-based codebases.
