VCDEasy is a software tool that enables the creation of VideoCDs or SVCDs from videos, images, and audio files. The created discs can be played on most home DVD players, allowing users to enjoy their media content without any additional hardware requirements.

While not well-known, VCDs can be played on almost all standalone DVD players and computers with a DVD-ROM or CD-ROM drive with the help of software players. Contrary to popular belief, the VCD was invented before the DVD by Philips. It is a low-cost way to create DVD-like discs in the comfort of your home. Unlike DivX CDs, VCDs can be played on virtually all home DVD players, enabling you to watch them on a TV without needing a computer or having to configure it to play DivX files. Much like watching a DVD, viewing a VideoCD is straightforward! Its low cost and compatibility make the VideoCD an excellent option for sharing memories with family and friends since all they need are a DVD Player and a TV.
To use VCDEasy, you need to provide MPEG files that follow VideoCD specifications. The software already has an MPEG picture encoder, and you can use Audio2VCD to encode audio-only files, and TMPGEnc encode to MPEG your videos. Less experienced users can merely select MPEG files that are VideoCD-ready and press the "go" button. Advanced users can configure and tweak virtually all aspects of VideoCD specifications through Playback Control-based interactivity, Menus support, Chapters, CD-i support, and more.
