Whether you need to grab web pages, download files or documents (or even just their headers without the content), obtain results of CGI programs (e.g. results of web-based search engines/databases), or upload files to CGI programs, WinHTTP has got you covered.
What's more, this software supports both binary and text formats, as well as cache of Internet Explorer. Users can even resume broken downloads, and read data from password protected directories. The basic proxy authentication scheme is also supported.
Another added bonus is that WinHTTP can be used in ActiveX forms. This means users can incorporate it into web-based software installations.
