ZipSplitter

ZipSplitter is a fantastic software that simplifies the task of copying large files onto floppy disks or sending them through email. It effectively splits files into smaller self-restoring parts, which means that the initial file can be restored without the need of ZipSplitter. This is done by adding a very short code (4kb) to the last file, which makes it executable.

One of the best features of ZipSplitter is that it can compress files before splitting, using ZIP compression. This can significantly decrease the size of the file, and WinZip software can be used to unzip compressed files.

Unlike WinZip's multivolume feature, ZipSplitter is far superior as it saves you from having to rewrite all the diskettes in case of an error, and you don't need to have WinZip installed on the computer where these diskettes will be read.

This software is very user-friendly, and you can easily split a file by selecting "Split with ZipSplitter" from the file menu of Windows Explorer. Overall, ZipSplitter is an excellent software that simplifies the process of copying and sending large files.
