YAMT is a MP3 tool that facilitates the organization of MP3 files.
YetanotherMP3Tool boasts a lot of features that are useful to users of all kinds. Some of these key features include renaming files based on their ID3 TAGs, mass tagging with variables like %dir and %file, which apply to the current directory and file respectively. In addition, auto tagging, tag exchanging, sorting and unsorting of files into/from subdirectories, exploring mp3s with filter ability, and creating playlists are also available.
The latest release of YAMT comes with several new features and improvements to existing ones. A new log window allows users to see YAMT's current activities, while the find-feature was restructured and renamed to explore. An edit and explore notebook page comes with a popup menu, which can be accessed using the right-click function. Various documentation can also be found under the help menu, while a progress bar has been added to indicate YAMT's activities. The "Set" feature of the previous version has been renamed to "Auto Tag", with the new option of moving everything between parentheses to the comment field. YAMT no longer checks just for a valid mpeg header, but also for ".mp3" as the file extension.
Users of Japanese can also benefit from this new release, as a Japanese translation has been added. Additionally, YAMT now comes with a fresh new logo and icon, along with numerous bug fixes. Overall, YAMT is a powerful tool for organizing MP3s, complete with features that make the task much easier and more efficient.
