Create non-commercial screen savers and distribute to friends and family in self-installing (exe) format. Earn royalties on any sales made.

For those using Powerpoint files, the 1st Screensaver PowerPoint Studio allows you to create screen savers from your Powerpoint presentations. One of the best parts about using this software is how easy it is to distribute the screen saver once it has been created. You can save the screen saver as a single EXE or ZIP file that can be shared via email or a website without any additional files.
The software also has text support, which allows you to display your own text on images. With the control of font size, color, and type, you can make your screen saver look professional and appealing. Additionally, you can add sound to your screen saver by playing separate sound files for each image or a single sound file for all images continuously. The software supports MP3, WAV, and MIDI file types.
As for automated image updating, that feature is apparently coming soon. In the meantime, the software allows you to create wallpapers by installing one of your image files as the wallpaper on the user's desktop. You can even set it up to randomly change the wallpaper daily (also coming soon).
Hyperlinks can be set up to lead to your website from the screen saver's Settings window and About window. The Professional and Professional Plus Editions of the software offer a trial version that can be set to expire after a fixed number of days. This way, you can use the trial version to promote your website or the full version. And if you're looking for great transition effects, you can choose from Flying Images, Multiple Float, Zoom, and Random Mix options with speed control.
For branding purposes, the Professional Edition allows you to embed your company's logo image in the screen saver settings window, installation window, and about window. Additionally, the Professional Plus Edition produces screen savers that are completely branded for your company, with all contact information removed.
Overall, I found 1st Screensaver Studio to be user-friendly with a lot of useful features. Plus, it is supported on Win 95/98, NT 4.0, and WIN 2000. If you need to create screen savers quickly and easily, this is definitely a software worth considering.
