AccessPatrol offers a proactive approach to ensure endpoint security by preventing unauthorized transfer of data to devices such as USBs, CDs/DVDs, BlueTooth, WiFi, iPods, and MP3s.

Through the Allowed List, administrators can permit the use of only company authorized USBs, FireWire, and External Hard Drive devices. Additionally, security levels can be assigned for full access, read mode, or no access. Specific portable devices can also be allowed during allocated day/time slots using the Scheduler feature.
AccessPatrol offers flexibility in controlling which groups or PCs have permissions to access endpoint devices. Furthermore, unauthorized administrative users are prevented from stopping or uninstalling the AccessPatrol client service. The web-based console also enables authorized administrators to manage endpoint device control from any location.
AccessPatrol policies apply to both on-site and off-site systems. Even when laptops are not connected to the central network, access permissions to endpoint devices are still maintained. Administrators can also govern energy usage across the enterprise remotely through the Power Management feature. They can schedule the shutdown of workstations and laptops during off-hours, resulting in noticeable savings in energy costs. Similarly, scheduling the WOL of systems at the start of work times helps to reduce energy costs further. Overall, AccessPatrol provides a comprehensive solution for endpoint device control and energy management needs.
