AFP Server

The AFP Server software is a reliable and versatile tool that allows users to effortlessly create AFP documents, page segments, medium overlays, and AFP overlays from any Windows application. By simply printing their Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint slides, TIFF images, and JPEG, JPG business graphics to the AFP Printer installed on a centralized print server, the software automatically generates AFP version documents that are stored in a specified folder on the print server.

The AFP Server software also supports data pipe and synchronization, clip unprintable areas, or offset plus size, and offers grayscale methods that include photographic dither, compressed dither, diagonal dither, line art halftone. Furthermore, the software lets users choose from support for bitonal (B / W, Color / White), 16 colors (4bit CMYK / RGB or 24bit RGB), and full-color (32bit CMYK), and adjust image resolution between 300x300 and 600x600 dpi using JPEG and LZW compression algorithms for images.

Also, the software supports the level of graphic objects that comply with GOCA's DR / 2V0 standard, provides easy Intensity and Contrast Controls, and offers the best output fidelity for TrueType fonts as references, inline resources, or images. Users can optimize text in OpenType fonts, raster fonts, and outline fonts, maintain output fidelity for placement in character, word, and line level, print Text as Graphics for printers not fully-compliant to PT2, PT3 standards and adjust Text Order when necessary.

The AFP Server software also includes font substitution of AFP character set with closely matched Windows font, supports Inline Form Definition, and produces AFP output files as small as possible with optimized AFPDS data stream.
