Amora

Amora (A mobile remote assistant) is a game changer when it comes to making presentations. With this software, you no longer have to manually control slides, thanks to its ability to implement the control of the mouse and most of the keyboard shortcuts (ESC, ENTER, SPACE, arrow keys, etc.), which makes this task a lot easier.

But that's not all. Amora also allows you to take screenshots of the active window in your current graphic session. This feature lets you see thumbnails of PC windows on your cellphone screen.

Currently, the client is implemented in Python for S60 (Nokia cellphones), while the server is written in C programming language using Xlib and XTest to send events for X session and POSIX socket API for I/O. For Bluetooth SDP, the developers used BlueZ, which means that this part of the server is currently limited to Linux only. However, the team has plans to port the software to run on other Unix architectures, such as FreeBSD, Solaris, and Mac OSX.

Installing Amora is relatively simple. After installing the dependencies, you need to extract the server app tarball with the following command, replacing x with the current download version: $ tar -zxvf amora_server-0.x.tar.gz

Next, change to the extracted directory and execute the following commands: $ mkdir build $ cd build $ ../configure

Finally, run the make command, which will generate an executable file named 'amora'. You must start the application and make sure that the Bluetooth dongle is connected to the computer using the following command: $ ./amora.
