ksshfs

The ksshfs program is a front-end software that simplifies the use of sshfs for file sharing. However, it has a limitation in that there is currently no option to enter a password at runtime for sshfs. Therefore, it is recommended to set up RSA keys or other key exchange methods for password-less login with the ssh server and client. This is not a major issue for most home users, but the developer promises to work on a password input method soon and welcomes any suggestions to achieve this.

One point to note is that if you choose to launch konqueror through ksshfs, you must close the konqueror window before exiting the program. If anyone knows a way around this, please inform the developer.

To use ksshfs, ensure that sshfs and its dependencies, as well as kommander, are installed. With sshfs, users can mount the remote computer's filesystem as a local filesystem to access files as if they were local. This is a secure and straightforward method for file sharing.
