AsmEdit

I recently tested AsmEdit, which is essentially a modern clone of an old Intel editor, with a few additional assembler development features. However, in my opinion, it's likely not high on most programmers' lists of must-have software.

On the other hand, AsmNano is a partial implementation of the popular "nano" editor, which is well-known for its simplicity and user-friendliness. While it lacks proper documentation, a help file can easily be accessed by pressing F1. The software's operation keys, which use the ^ symbol to represent the "Ctrl" key, include numerous commands, such as start and end of line, cursor movements, rubout, find and replace options, and more.

One unique aspect of asmnano is its constant status display and two menu prompt lines at the bottom of each screen, which are not part of the original nano editor. Additionally, asmnano has two unique commands: next file window (^L) and toggle window style (^Q).

Overall, AsmNano is a solid choice for those seeking a simplified assembler code editor, albeit without extensive documentation. However, AsmEdit may not provide enough added value to justify its usage over other modern alternatives.
