Cafeterra is an EAI tool that is based on message queues. It comes with a Web user interface for designing, processing, and monitoring inter-application data flows. Supported connectors include RDBMS, flat files (CSV, fixed length record, XML, HL7, HTML, etc.), LDAP, and SOAP, with plans to add more in the future.
The key features of Cafeterra are message tracking and archival, the ability to join different connectors, an internal scheduler, and the capability to raise the flow on events. With the release of the newest version, Cafeterra now supports POP3 and IMAP. Additionally, users can now use both Perl and SQL languages for Getmsg, SendMsg, SendMsgBis, AckMsg, and GlobalAck.
The tool also now evaluates Perl scripts during the design stage to check for any syntax errors. CafImport.pm has received some updates like sorting objects, handling file extension, and removing trailing r. Meanwhile, Context.pm has resolved a bug that pertained to copying procedures correctly, and LContainer.pm has reduced some traces. MFlow.pm now comes with more launch options, while Scripts.pm has improved its validation of Perl scripts. A bug in updating user object attributes has been fixed in Users.pm. EN/translate.pm and FR/translate.pm now come with added translations, respectively.
Updates to connectors include cafProto.pm's support of open file failure, and replay_to and fake_to attributes default values for cafpSMTP.pm. The datatypeid has been updated in refQry.pm, and new protocols, drivers, datatypes, and attributes have been added in the install/Pg/ directory.
FlowRt.pm has resolved a bug that caused an infinite loop for backtracking when reading dependent messages, and also avoided die on startsession failure. FlowTls.pm now handles perl script and SQL scripts for getmsg, sendmsg, etc. in addition to SQL scripts and has LogRbsMessagr enhancement. SFlowRt.pm has also improved its handling of perl and SQL scripts, as well as correctly handling the delins method. The latest release has also removed some trace text from SOAPHTTPWS.pm, added more launch options in launch.pl, fixed an image reference bug in pageshelp.pm, and improved translations and orthography in the help section.
Finally, new directories and creations have been added, including CafeterraDBD.pm, cafdPOP3.pm, and cafdIMAP.pm.
