I recently had the opportunity to try out a new software that I found very helpful for my collection hobby. This software has an impressive range of features designed to cater for 9 different collections: Bank Notes, Coins, Stamps, Pins, Stamps & First Day Covers, Badges & Patches, Medals, Bottles, Jars and Jugs, Books and DVD's.
One of the standout features of this software is its filtering and searching capabilities. Just like using Excel, columns in the list can be filtered to show only records that meet specific criteria. For example, you can search for only Badges & Patches from 1986, making it super easy to find what you are looking for.
Another useful feature is the ability to group records in a folder-like structure by common data. A great way to do this is by country and service - this creates a hierarchical structure where you can view all the services for a country, and then view all the records for each service.
The software also includes advanced record copying, which allows you to duplicate a record's data into a new record. There is even an option to set a default copy rule, making it even easier to copy the information you need when adding many of the same type of records.
Additionally, drop-down data lists are available for easy data insertion, which is perfect for fields that use the same values repeatedly, such as Country, Service, or Material. By adding frequently used values to the drop-down list, it saves time and makes data entry much quicker and more efficient.
