CShout

CShout is a handy shoutbox software that doesn't require a database. It operates using a text file as its database. I decided to create this software when I realized the need for one for myself. Initially, I had been using a free shoutbox service and liked the idea, so I adopted it. I started off with a free tutorial online that was quite simplistic.

Downloading and unravelling it is a breeze, and it can be used immediately with phpwcms as a mod. I'm not entirely sure if this qualifies as a mod, but it does operate differently from the original copy of phpwcms. It's my way of giving back to the phpwcms community. Using phpwcms custom replacement tag, this mod enables you to add a shoutbox to your phpwcms site.
