Dinner Timer Lite is kitchen PC software that enables users to set timers, customize alarm sounds, and receive Twitter notifications. It includes a unique "after burn" timer and adjustable transparency. Easy to use and ideal for cooking enthusiasts.

One of the features that make Dinner Timer Lite unique is the after-burn timer. This feature helps to keep track of how long over the set time you have gone. This is very helpful when you want to give your cooking an extra minute or two. Also, the software can notify you twice to remind you that you're still cooking. You can receive notifications through a bubble at the notification area if you have the sound turned down.
If you want to keep your friends informed about your dining status, Dinner Timer Lite has a Twitter notification function. The software can post on your Twitter account to let your friends know when you start the timer, how long for, and when dinner is about to be ready. You can also post a message to let your friends know when you're off to dinner or burnt your dinner again. In addition, both the bubble and Twitter notifications use a text replacement template so you can include the details of the time remaining and when the dinner will be ready in the notification.
The software has a configurable transparency feature, which allows you to run the software on top of other applications without obscuring your view. This means you can have the recipe open with Dinner Timer Lite on top and still read the recipe whilst keeping an eye on the time. Configurable time options also allow you to pre-define cooking times and give them a name. For example, if you like pizza, you can add a 12-minute timer and call it Pizza. Then, when you select Pizza from the time options and press start, the timer automatically starts for 12 minutes.
Apart from the kitchen, Dinner Timer Lite can be used anywhere a countdown timer is needed. The software is freeware, and you can download and install it as often as you like for free.
