django-flatcontent

I recently had the opportunity to review django-flatcontent, a handy application that functions like flatpages, but for smaller content segments that are editable in the Django administrator. This software has made it easy to manage and update small pieces of content on my website without the need for a more comprehensive content management system.

The installation of django-flatcontent was straightforward and streamlined. The process involved adding the flatcontent directory to my Python path, including it into my INSTALLED_APPS, and then using the manage.py syncdb command to install the models.

After installation, using django-flatcontent was a breeze. Once I had added the FlatContent model to my site, I could access the content via the provided template tags in my templates. The template tags worked by performing a slug lookup on the text and returning the appropriate content.
