I recently had the opportunity to try out the freeware program, 'exif2xml' V1.0, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. This tiny yet powerful tool allows users to easily read EXIF metadata from JPEG files and export it to XML files in a flash.

To keep things nice and simple, there is only one form and two buttons. The XML button will allow you to start conversion, but it will only be visible if the input file is valid and contains EXIF metadata. If it doesn't, a message will indicate that there is no EXIF metadata in the JPEG file.
The program suggests a filename for the XML files based on the JPEG file, making everything more streamlined. For example, if the input file is named 'filename.jpg', the output file will be suggested as 'filename.xml.' However, you can choose any file name you like for the XML output. If the XML file already exists, the program will prompt you with a warning, asking if you'd like to overwrite the file.
