If you're looking for an OpenGL Screensaver for your Mac OS X, look no further. This particular screensaver has been rigorously tested on a Cube with 450 MHz, and the stock ATI Rage 128 card. Running at a resolution of 1152x870, it met our expectations with flying colors.
Additionally, the screensaver's appearance only improves with higher resolutions, making it an excellent choice for those with more advanced hardware.
This software was created by Klaus and Nat, who designed it during a lazy weekend in order to experiment with Altivec coding. However, despite their initial intentions, they never got around to implementing the Altivec stuff.
Still, don't be discouraged -- there's not much to be gained by doing Altivec coding ourselves, as much of the math is done by the already-implemented OpenGL. As such, it's unlikely that an Altivec version will be released anytime soon.
