Hermetic Stego

Hermetic Stego is a steganography program that enables users to encrypt and conceal the contents of any data file in another file in a way that won't change the look of the file. If the hidden file is deleted, it appears to never be there, but one can still recover it when needed. The software randomly inserts data into the image file based on a password and makes changes to other bits of the image file to compensate for the changes caused by the hidden data, avoiding any alteration of the statistical properties of the image file. This makes Hermetic Stego more secure than most steganography programs.

The software allows users to hide a file of any size in one or more BMP image files, with or without using a user-specified stego/encryption key. The presence of the hidden file is undetectable, even by forensic software using statistical methods. If a user-specified stego key is used, the hidden file can only be extracted by someone who knows that stego key and uses the software.

Hermetic Stego allows users to hide a message file in a single BMP image file or a set of BMP images and to extract a message file from a single BMP image file or a set of them. This program differs in two ways from others of its kind. Firstly, there is no limit on the size of the data file to be hidden because Hermetic Stego can hide a data file not just in a single BMP image file, but in a set of BMP images. Secondly, the bits of the data are randomly inserted into the bytes of the image files, making it impossible to use statistical tests to reveal the presence of a hidden message.

Lastly, the program can be used with a user-specified stego key or with a default stego key. Using a default stego key allows users to send hidden data to another person who doesn't know the stego key. With these features, Hermetic Stego is an excellent steganography program worthy of consideration for any user in need of a highly secure data hiding program.
