KaDoSu

Kadosu is a comprehensive software solution that indexes all documents in an archive, allowing users to effortlessly search through the index. What’s more, the software also automatically categorizes search results, while offering a feature that enables users to manually categorize a document. With its powerful visualizations, the search results can be sorted and displayed succinctly and graphically.

Technically, Kadosu is built upon the Eclipse RCP and written in Java, which makes it both easy to use and incredibly extendable. For starters, users will need an Eclipse installation on their system. The software has been tested with version 3.0.2 and older versions of Eclipse 3.0.x, and should work seamlessly with either version. To get started, simply unpack the files in the package to their own directory.

Next, locate the startup.jar file of your Eclipse installation and copy it to Kadosu's root directory. Furthermore, copy the following plugins from Eclipse to Kadosu's plugins directory: org.eclipse.core.expression_3.0.0, org.eclipse.core.runtime_3.0.2, org.eclipse.help_3.0.0, org.eclipse.jface.text_3.0.2, org.eclipse.jface_3.0.2, org.eclipse.osgi_3.0.1, org.eclipse.swt.gtk_3.0.2, org.eclipse.swt.win32_3.0.2 (only one of these is necessary, depending on your operating system), org.eclipse.swt_3.0.2, org.eclipse.text_3.0.2, org.eclipse.ui_3.0.2, org.eclipse.ui.workbench_3.0.2, and org.eclipse.update.configurator_3.0.0. Note that these plugin versions are the ones that have been tested, but other versions may work too.
