Keyboard Monitor

Are you interested in monitoring your keyboard usage and tracking statistics? If so, you might want to check out Keyboard Monitor. While this software gadget is designed primarily for entertainment purposes, we've found it to be quite enjoyable. One minor caveat is that installation requires a small library, but that's a small price to pay for the features you'll receive.

One thing we appreciate about Keyboard Monitor is the ease with which we can save our settings to a file. The file will be created in the following location: %APPDATA% File: gadgetname_Settings.ini. Additionally, the color of all elements, including the background, is changeable to meet your visual preferences.

If you're using a 64 bit sidebar, Keyboard Monitor unfortunately won't run. If you want to switch from a 64 bit sidebar to a 32 bit sidebar, you'll need to manually edit the following Registry Key: \\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\SideBar. Change the key to this: %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Windows Sidebar\sidebar.exe /autoRun. Normally, this means loading sidebar.exe from c:\program files (x86)\ instead of c:\program files\.
