LingvoSoft Dictionary English <-> Arabic for Palm OS

I recently had the opportunity to try out LingvoSoft Dictionary English Arabic for Palm OS with a database of 400,000 words. This software can translate both ways and also provides immediate back translations. One feature that I found particularly useful is the ability to highlight and copy an unfamiliar word from another application and automatically search for it in the LingvoSoft dictionary upon launch.

Aside from the Quick Search function, the Vector Ultima spell-checker and MorphoFinder functions make searching for words much easier. Each entry has part of speech information and multiple translation options for all polysemantic words. The font and keyboard designs make this software a pleasure to use.

With LingvoSoft Dictionary, users also have access to an array of features including the Overview of all dictionary entries in the Main List, Overview of all possible translations of a selected word in the Translations List, and Quick back translations for proof of correct understanding. The Quick Search function allows entries starting with letter combinations to be displayed.

Switching between languages is made easy through the pop-up trigger in the upper right corner. The MorphoFinder function helps to find source words and the software offers spellchecking for both languages. The software is also compatible with high-resolution displays and SD/MMC standard support.

Overall, LingvoSoft Dictionary English Arabic for Palm OS is an incredible software that can be run from both memory and SD/MMC extension cards. I highly recommend this software to anyone interested in learning or translating words between English and Arabic.
