LinkConverter is a software that converts Windows links to Mac OS format and allows the user to access the linked files. With this tool, there is no need to worry about the compatibility issues between Windows and Mac operating systems when sharing files or links.
As someone who works in a mixed Mac and Windows environment, it can be frustrating to receive e-mails from my Windows colleagues containing links to files located on a file server. Unfortunately, I have found that I cannot always access these links on my Mac OS X, even when the file server is mounted and fully functional on my computer.
To address this issue, I decided to create a solution that would make it easy to convert Windows links to Mac OS format and open the linked file on my computer. I developed a Dashboard widget specifically designed to do just that. With this widget, I am able to easily access files that would otherwise be inaccessible to me.
