I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the MaitreTarot software; a French Tarot game that offers a similar gaming experience to popular titles such as Freecell and Poker. While some may assume that this game correlates with astrology, it is important to note that it stands on its own without any connection.
MaitreTarot is comprised of a server, as well as various client software, which offers its users some key features that make it a unique and enjoyable game to play. One of the more notable aspects of this software is the server, which knows the rules, handles the distribution of cards, and counts points among other things. This allows for a more seamless gaming experience for its users.
Another feature that stands out with MaitreTarot is the variety of clients that are available. The software offers different alternatives for human players, including a GUI interface in gtk+, qt, web, ncurses, and win32.
