I recently had the pleasure of testing out some educational software, including a suite of programs designed to help students improve their foundational math skills. The suite includes programs focused on fraction arithmetic, basic arithmetic, unit conversion, prime factors, and number systems. Here are my thoughts on each:

Moving to unit conversion, we have program version 1.01s. This program is specifically designed to help with converting between units, such as comparing cm and dm. The program includes units for weight, length, area, volume, time, and currency, so there is a lot of content to cover. I found the program to be a great tool for building familiarity with different units of measurement.
The prime factors program, version 1.01s, was one of my favorites. It combines both calculation and practice into a single program. The program allows students to find prime numbers, the prime factorization of numbers, and the greatest common factor and least common multiple for two or three numbers. There are several types of exercises, including checking divisibility, finding prime factorizations, and determining the greatest common factor or least common multiple. This program really helped me feel much more confident with prime factors and helped me understand how they fit into other math concepts.

It is designed to help with conversions between decimal and Roman numerals, as well as other number systems such as binary, ternary, octal, and hexadecimal. I found this program to be very helpful in building a stronger foundation in basic number systems and understanding how different numerical systems work.
