This software supports the geometric design and strength check of spur gear with straight and helical toothing using both Imperial and Metric units. It adheres to ANSI/AGMA and ISO/DIN standards and integrates with several 2D and 3D CAD systems.

One of the key features of this software is the automatic design of a transmission with the minimum number of input requirements. Additionally, the software can be used to design gears for entered coefficients of safety, both static and dynamic. The software also calculates complete geometric parameters, including corrected toothing.
The software can optimize toothing by using proper correction methods, such as balancing specific slips, minimizing specific slips, and ensuring strength. It also calculates strength parameters and conducts safety checks, ensuring a reliable design.
Other functionalities include the design of gearing for exact axis distance, supplementary calculations (such as temperature rise, design of shafts, and checking dimensions), support of 2D and 3D CAD systems. Drawings of an accurate tooth shape, including data (X,Y coordinates), can be produced.
This software supports 2D CAD (AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, IntelliCAD, Ashlar Graphite, TurboCAD) and 3D CAD in the full calculation package (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Pro/E). The calculations use procedures, algorithms, and data from standards ANSI, ISO, DIN, BS, and specialized literature. Some of the standards used by this software are ISO 6336, ISO 1328, DIN 3990, ANSI B6.1-1968, AGMA 2001-C95, AGMA 2001-D04, AGMA 908-B89/95, and others.
In summary, this module is a part of the MITCalc - Mechanical and Technical Calculation Package, which offers solutions for gear, belt and chain drives, springs, beam, shaft, bolt connection, shaft connection, tolerances, and many other technical calculations.
