Cutting Optimization Pro is a software program designed to simplify obtaining cutting and nesting layouts for both one- and two-dimensional pieces. This software includes features for defining and handling complex industrial products such as bookshelves, desks, lockers, tables, and cupboards. Furthermore, it can handle cutting rectangular sheets made of wood, metal, glass, furniture, and many other materials regularly used by industrial applications.

In addition, the software can manage linear pieces, including extrusions, lineal wood boards, metal profiles, steel bars, pipes, and bars. Users have immense flexibility with this software as it allows both 1D and 2D optimization. Guillotine optimization is available for glass and wood cutting, where cuts are made from one side to the other.

For intricate shapes that require the cutting machine to follow the shape of the material, non-guillotine optimization is available based on laser or flame blade technology. The software also has numerous customizations, including an adjustable cutting blade thickness, management of edge bands for parts and stock trim, and the maximal cut length.

Users can input fractional dimensions, allowing measurements to be entered as 100.5 or 100 1/2. After optimization, the software allows manual arrangement of parts, and the diagrams can be moved between sheets. Detailed statistics related to the current cut can be easily generated, and layouts can be exported to Excel/Word tables. Cut sheets can also be prioritized while managing extra components such as adhesive labels, screws, hinges, and knobs.
