Personal Notes File

NOTEFILE is a personal notes information utility that is designed to keep your data organized and accessible. You can keep track of people's addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and other personal notes. The software is similar to the old Windows CARDFILE.EXE program and can read CRD files created by that program.

With NOTEFILE, you can store your information in NTF format. This standard format compresses data in binary format, but you can also save and read from TXT files. NOTEFILE also provides the option to encrypt your NTF files. Plus, you can use its integrated phone dialer, which is better than the one in CARDFILE.

One of the standout features of NOTEFILE is its flexibility to extend functionality using Pascal scripting and external commands. You can execute user-defined menu commands by storing Pascal scripts in a special script file and external commands in a special command file. Additionally, you can insert single system commands stored as strings in your data file.

NOTEFILE was designed mainly to overcome some limitations of CARDFILE. For example, in CARDFILE, the size of a card cannot be larger than 12x40 characters, including the index line. However, in NOTEFILE, there is no such limitation.

The program's philosophy is to keep things simple and easy to use, making it a useful tool for keeping personal notes organized. Note that you can use the full functionality of NOTEFILE even if you do not register.
