The new release of the game features several enhancements, including the offering of insurance when the dealer has an ace showing, and the player has blackjack. Additionally, players are paid a push and insurance if they have blackjack and so does the dealer. If a player gets two aces, the initial total displayed is 12, not 22. The overall layout has also undergone a change, with the GridLayout being replaced by the BoxLayout, resulting in the elimination of empty space.
Other minor changes have been implemented, including the addition of a counter to keep track of how many hands have played. An options menu has also been included, allowing players to customize settings such as player blackjack paying 1.5 or 2 times the bet, initial and subsequent pot values being set to $100, $500 or $1000, and the dealer's requirement to hit a soft seventeen being toggled.
