Radiotastic is an impressive Dashboard widget that provides an effortless way to listen to Internet radio. With its support of popular audio formats, including RealAudio, WindowsMedia, QuickTime, and MP3, you can easily tune into your favorite stations and streams.
For those who want to take things to the next level, upgrading to the Pro edition lets you expand recording time beyond 15 minutes. However, to access this feature, you must register as a user of either RadioLover or iRecordMusic, two other audio applications from Bitcartel Software.
Using Radiotastic couldn't be more simple - bring up the dashboard with one keypress, and you're immediately ready to listen to and record internet radio.
Radiotastic has several key features, including the ability to add your favorite stations, record audio as AIFF, AAC, or Apple Lossless (which is suitable for iPod), and run multiple widgets concurrently, enabling you to listen to one stream while recording another (this is currently only available on Tiger and not yet supported on Leopard).
Although Radiotastic certainly impresses in many ways, the free version has its limitations. It does not allow recording for more than 15 minutes.
