If you're a fan of the MYST saga, then Riven X is the software for you. This is the best episode in the series, but with a brand-new engine that brings the same wonder and content to Mac OS X.
While Riven was originally released in 1997 for both Mac OS and Windows, it was never updated to be a native Mac OS X application. This meant that with the introduction of Intel Macs, something needed to be done if future generations of Mac users were going to be able to enjoy Riven.
Luckily, dedicated individuals, such as Tito Dal Canton, worked on rewiring the Riven data files, which in turn, laid the foundation for the new engine. This means that fans can now play Riven with ease on their Mac OS X devices.
