I recently downloaded the Saft Lite Safari plugin and I must say that I'm quite impressed with its functionality. This plugin serves as a warning system that notifies users before Safari auto-installs Dashboard widgets that may potentially harm their computers.
What's great about Saft Lite is that it's completely free and easy to install. All that's required is to simply run "Install Saft" which comes conveniently bundled with the plugin. However, users will be prompted to provide their admin password during the installation process for authentication, which is a standard procedure in many software installations nowadays.
If users ever decide to remove Saft Lite, they can easily do so by quitting Safari and moving "Saft" located in the /Library/InputManagers folder to the trash. Overall, I think Saft Lite is a useful and necessary plugin for those who want an added safety measure when browsing the web on their Mac computers.
