Seed7

Seed7 is a software, designed by Thomas Mertes, that is a general purpose programming language. Compared to Ada, C/C++ and Java, Seed7 is higher level language. The entire Seed7 project is open-source software which includes both the Seed7 interpreter and example programs. Additionally, developers are currently in the process of creating an open-source Seed7 compiler.

One of the most notable features of Seed7 is its ability to easily declare new statements and operators. Another advantage of Seed7 is its use of functions with type parameters and results which are considered more elegant than a template or generics concepts. Seed7 also uses object orientation only where it brings advantages and not where other solutions are more obvious.

While Seed7 contains several concepts of other programming languages, it is generally not considered a direct descendant of any other language. If you're looking for a powerful and easy-to-use programming language, Seed7 is an excellent option to consider.
