Shared Monitor

This program is designed to constantly monitor Microsoft Network connections, which is the protocol used by Windows computers to access shared resources. The program sits in your system tray and you can click on the Shared Monitor icon to see the information it has gathered.

There are three main sections to the program: Summary, Active, and History. The Summary section provides statistics about the number of active sessions and open files. The Active sessions section gives detail about your currently shared resources, including which computers are connected, active sessions, logged users, and accessed resources. The History sessions section allows you to browse logged connections and statistics by File Type, Hour of Day, or Day of Week.

In addition, Shared Monitor can generate HTML reports that you can publish for your colleagues or send via email. You can also configure the program to run automatically on Windows start and set notifications for specific events, such as when a new computer connects to your shared resources. The program can even be set to use beeps or pop-ups to alert you to different types of events.
