SQLGrinder is a Macintosh OS X application that has been built using Apple's Cocoa framework. This allows users to experience a native Mac application without any afterthought porting. SQLGrinder comes bundled with driver packages for FrontBase from FrontBase Inc. and OpenBase SQL from OpenBase International, Ltd., as well as drivers for MySQL and PostgreSQL. Users can easily connect to other databases like Oracle, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server by putting JDBC drivers into a dedicated folder.
The new version of SQLGrinder, currently in beta testing, features faster overall performance, multiple editor and result set history buffers, code completion using database keywords and table, column, and procedure names, client-side result set searching and sorting, sleep detection, table add, drop, and truncate functionality, improved data import and export, and much more. This release has been rewritten from scratch and is available for $59, with an introductory price of $49.95 during the beta period. Owners of the previous version can upgrade for only $19.
