The Physicist

The Physicist is a simulation package created entirely using C. It is the successor of the original 'Physicist' project, which was initiated by Oper17 in September 2004. Initially, the simulations were crude and simulated using Allegro, but with the switch to OpenGL, the simulations became more visually pleasing. However, there were still some drawbacks, primarily in the approximation of the simulations. This was due to the use of incompetent algorithms, which led to visible increases in energy during orbit and collision simulations. In addition, the method of expression evaluation caused conflicts between commands due to the use of a crude version of keyword to function hashing.

In February 2005, 'The Physicist' codenamed Goeppert was initiated as a complete rebuild operation of the older 'Physicist.' Goeppert was built from scratch, with extensive research and implementation of improved algorithms to provide greater accuracy and minimize bugs. While float variables are still missing, they are expected to be introduced soon. Currently, the Goeppert project is halfway through with electric circuit simulation and solutions. Overall, The Physicist provides an excellent simulation package with superior accuracy and visual appeal.
