Tronimation is a compact and user-friendly 3-D editing and animation software written in C. It requires only the installation of GL, GLU, and GLUT. The software aims to be as easy to use as possible, with a focus on the console segment of the user interface.
The console's main menu can be found at the top left of the blank background when the program is launched. All possible commands are listed at the bottom of the console, and program-wide information is displayed above it. Specific information about the current events is usually displayed at the top.
The mouse can be used for quick navigation to the save/open menu and opening/closing the console with a left click. Additionally, the program-wide output and render options can be changed with a right click. Documentation on how to use Tronimation online will be available soon.
Although most people should be able to use the software easily, editing object types may pose a problem for some. Reading the DrawingRoutines.c source code can help in understanding the values for object types: 0 = no object, 1 = cube, 2 = pyramid, 3 = cylinder, 4 = triangular prism, 5 = recognizer. However, beware of the recognizer as it is incomplete and cannot be resized.
Tronimation accepts both absolute and relative directories when opening a file. If the wrong name is entered, the program will display an error message. In the future, the software will probably include a directory listing and navigation feature.
