TZInfo enables transformation of times between different time zones, taking into account daylight savings.
TZInfo is a pure-Ruby software that utilizes the standard tz (Olson) database to enable the conversion of times across different time zones while being aware of daylight savings. Unlike other software, TZInfo does not require external zoneinfo files as it has imported the tz database using TZDataParser and created its own set of Ruby modules that are readily available with this release.
For example, if you wish to convert a time in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to a local time in the America/New_York timezone, you can do so effortlessly with the following code after installing TZInfo:
