As digital cameras grow in popularity, the majority of photos taken are saved in JPG format. To ensure further organization with photos, the date and time when the photo was taken is also stored in EXIF format. It is not uncommon for phone photos to be transferred onto a computer where one can easily view the photo and its details. However, any subsequent print of the photo will not include the important information.

By extracting the date and time information from the JPG file, vPTS superimposes the text directly onto the image.
