XCache

XCache is a highly efficient php opcode cacher that has been vigorously tested in high load production servers. It is also compatible with and tested on all the latest php cvs branches, including PHP_4_3, PHP_4_4, PHP_5_1, PHP_5_2 and HEAD(6.x), except for 5.0.x.

The installation process for XCache involves several steps. First, run 'phpize --clean && phpize' followed by './configure --help' and 'CFLAGS='your cflags' ./configure --enable-xcache --enable...'. Then, execute 'make', followed by 'su' and 'make install'. Don't forget to update the php.ini file and restart the php process.

If you need to reinstall XCache, copy the config.nice file to conf and then run 'make distclean && phpize --clean && phpize'. After moving the config.nice file back to conf, execute './config.nice', followed by 'make', 'su' and 'make install'. Finally, update the php.ini file and restart the php process.

To update the php.ini file, switch to root user and run 'cat xcache.ini >> /etc/php.ini'. Use the '$EDITOR /etc/php.ini' command to open the php.ini file and make the necessary changes.
