"YAM" is a Java-based puzzle board game called Mahjongg.
I recently tried out Yet Another Mahjongg and I was thoroughly impressed with this puzzle board game written in Java. The only requirement stated for installation is Java SE 6 which is a fairly common prerequisite for most Java programs.
The installation process was straightforward and easy to follow. I simply had to unpack mahjongg_en.zip in a directory of my choice. Once that was done, creating a Desktop element was a breeze. The working directory for the game is your chosen directory with mahjongg folder.
To start the program, all you need to do is run the following command: java -jar mahjongg.jar. However, some users may experience issues with the sound. If you encounter a sound file error, it could be because Java does not have exclusive access to the sound system. In this case, another program might have already claimed that access, causing sound issues.
Overall, Yet Another Mahjongg makes for a great game to pass the time. The game packs a wide variety of puzzles and challenges, making it great for players of all skill levels.
