This networkable MP3 player and database supports auto normalization and can play tracks from only one station.
The database functions are comprehensive, allowing users to find all mp3-files on all media automatically. Andantico can manage MP3 files on all media, and it has unlimited data (1.3 million tested, 2 billion possible) making it a powerful tool for managing your music collection. Sorting, searching, and editing functions are fast and extensive, while the software automatically takes over ID3-Tag-genres as categories, and unlimited further categories are possible.
The software provides for clear identification of mp3 files through checksums, and corrects artist names, which are then taken over to every existing and further tracks of the artist. It differentiates sortname, ID3-tag-name and real name allowing for easy sorting of artists. It can tie up with external programs such as Winamp, Cool Edit, editors, etc. to enhance the music editing experience.
Andantico allows individual rating of any title (1-6) and the ability to tie up any title with individual skin sets and covers (images). It supports multiple users on one PC (or on several PCs as client-server), with each user having individual setups. Export functions are also extensive, enabling users to export their music collection to any hardware-player, including the ability to export a series of defined size of directories (for example: export all your 250 hits to parts of 64 mb for your hardware player).
Andantico also has a host of further modules, including a taskbar-player that is always on top and never obstructs, a desktop-player that allows positioning via waveform, two playlists, an equalizer, a timer for analog recording (cassettes), a sound and text display, and categories on the desktop.
Other new functions that come with Andantico include dynamic volume matching which adjusts the volume of too faint/too loud tracks to be adjusted on a standard level while preserving their dynamic range. It also has defined automatic crossfading and pauses, m3u-playlists and checksum-playlists, and shuffle-functions that allow for categories and ratings as presets for shuffle.
Overall, Andantico is a powerful software that any music lover would find useful. It has excellent features, and it is user-friendly, making it perfect for both experts and beginners.
