This backup tool offers a backup manager and command-line utility to create backups of files located on personal computers, file servers or FTPs for easy data protection and management.
One of the things I found particularly useful was the ability to create Zip backups of files located on personal computers, file servers, or FTP sites. Handy Backup software is made up of two independent utilities - the backup manager and the command-line backup utility.
The backup manager is perfect for creating backup sets, making backups, and data restoring. The backup sets contain all options necessary to create backups and are used as backup profiles for regular backing up by either the backup manager or command-line utility. These sets are simple text files that can be viewed, printed, copied, and more. You can create as many sets as you need.
You have the option to choose the best backup strategy for your data, depending on dynamic properties and size. Four backup strategies are available in this software. For static or low-dynamic data, full or incremental backup is recommended. For high-dynamic data, stack or advanced stack backups are more useful.
Another great feature is the ability to specify included and excluded files separately, allowing you to flexibly create a precise set of files to archive. You can include data from your personal desktop, network resources, or FTP sites, and wildcards (* ?) are allowed in all path specifications.
The d_back command-line utility makes it easy to organize regular data backups. It is designed for independent creation of backups in command line mode and works well with Windows task schedulers. It carries out all the functions of the backup manager for data processing, and you simply pass a backup set file as a parameter to create your backup.
You can check the results of data processing completely, with the history of startings and all errors or warning messages being saved to a log file. Plus, the software enables you to notify the user by email about the starting/ending of each backup job.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Handy Backup software to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly backup tool.
