This software provides comprehensive features for Windows document backup, recovery, and disaster prevention. It simply safeguards crucial documents against any accidental loss or corruption of data. It also offers remote FTP storage for added convenience.
To activate DocShield, one must select one or more destination folders that will contain the archives. It is suggested that at least two destination folders on different devices are created to safeguard against hardware failure. The documents that must be secured are then selected. Once a new snapshot of a document is written to an archive, it will be automatically saved in each of the destination folders.
One can also specify how frequently DocShield should check on the documents to see if any of them require a snapshot. Users can select intervals ranging from every second to every few days and choose if DocShield should be loaded automatically with each computer startup. The snapshots of a deleted document will persist in the DocShield archive(s) until specifically removed.
DocShield operates in the background and consumes negligible computer resources as it continuously prevents potential catastrophic losses of documents. The software can be fine-tuned to suit the user's preferences in almost all aspects.
