I recently tried out Fast-Track FTP, an FTP client that boasts impressive capabilities for file management on an FTP server. One of its standout features is its ability to handle file groups and change attributes of files directly from the FTP server.
Additionally, Fast-Track FTP's special editor is a huge convenience as it enables users to edit files directly on the server. This program also allows its users to set up additional custom commands and add them to the main menu, which can be grouped by various criteria. Another handy feature is the option to connect an external HTML editor to edit web pages and other files.
Notably, Fast-Track FTP supports a variety of protocols such as Shell Access, FTPS, SFTP and more without requiring the installation of any additional external libraries. This means all traffic can be encrypted, protecting the login and password information from being intercepted.
One of my favorite features of this software is the download resume, log files, directories compare and synchronization. These features simplify routine tasks while making the most of your time by automatically considering your local time zone. Clipboard monitoring, proxy servers and firewalls support, SOCKS 4, 4.5 and 5, download speed display, and assigning the starting directory (on a local hard drive as well as on a server) for each server are additional noteworthy features.
