HsTcp2Com is a Windows software that enables the conversion of TCP and UDP/IP data to serial COM ports (RS232, Bluetooth, IrDA, USB), thereby creating a bridge between them. The software can be used for communication purposes.
The software offers numerous features that enhance its functionality, including a limitless number of links that can interconnect two ports in several different combinations to operate concurrently. Moreover, HsTcp2Com is compatible with any COM port to another COM port, TCP/IP, or UDP/IP ports, allowing users to establish multiple links simultaneously.
The program has a unique feature that can automatically restore failed ports, thereby maintaining its connectivity. Users can configure settings for links and groups and store them in CSV files that can be edited during the online or offline process before rebooting the program.
HsTcp2Com offers several unique features for data forwarding options, such as forwarding data immediately on receiving, forwarding on buffer full, announcing inter-character timeout, and forwarding on frame end character. The application also has diagnostic and statistics functions such as port status display, port receive and transmit byte counters, and an event log displayed on screen and saved to a disk file.
Finally, HsTcp2Com has data traffic trace options in either ASCII or HEX format, data traffic echo functions (port loopback), data traffic generation function (sent periodically on a timer), and a send specified single buffer function. Overall, HsTcp2Com is an excellent software application for users who require effective data communication and bridging capabilities between serial and IP-based devices.
