A directory copy software that duplicates folder trees without their files. Multiple trees can be copied and saved as projects for future synchronization updates.
One of the standout features of OnlyDircopy is the ability to copy several trees at once and combine them into projects. These projects can be saved and re-run later for a synchronizing update. Extended reporting and log-file features allow users to keep track of their progress and maintain their files easily.
To use OnlyDircopy, the user can either enable Explorer in the program and then right-click in Explorer to 'OnlyDirCopy' and 'OnlyDirPaste' or work with projects. To create a project, the user simply selects what directories need to be copied and what destination root they want to use. Multiple directory trees can be selected and combined into one PROJECT-file (.ond-file). In the second stage, the user runs the project-file and several updates take place.
The cleaning stage checks every folder on the destination and deletes any that were cleaned on the source, except during the first run of a project. The updating stage copies all new folders from the source to the destination using the same directory structure as in the source. By creating an identical copy of the source during the first run, users can synchronize their files with every other run.
Users with a lot of folders can create several projects, and since all the project-files are saved, users can easily select them later on to update the copy without having to go through the first stage again. Additionally, it is possible to edit projects later on if the user needs to add a directory or make other changes. Overall, OnlyDircopy is an excellent software for users who want to quickly copy folder trees while leaving files behind.
