The Organigram Tree ActiveX Control is a software tool designed for building and rendering organizational charts in a Microsoft Office environment. It allows users to create and edit hierarchical structures, customize nodes and links, and display rich data.
I recently had the opportunity to try out the ExOrgChart component, which impressed me with its ability to generate organigrams automatically. The software comes with a range of features that I found to be very helpful.
One of the features that stood out to me the most was the Print and Print Preview Support. This enabled me to easily print my organigrams or preview them before printing to ensure that they looked exactly as I wanted them to. Another great feature was the WYSWYG Template/Layout Editor support, which made it easy for me to customize the appearance of my organigrams to suit my specific needs.
The ExOrgChart component also has Multiple lines HTML ToolTip support, allowing me to provide detailed information about different nodes in my organigrams. Additionally, the software offers Background picture support and Mouse wheel support, making it easy to navigate and customize my organigrams in various ways.
Other features that I found helpful include the ability to explore only a branch of the organigram, display single or multiple layers of the organigram, and scroll the organigram using the mouse or keyboard. I also appreciated the fact that any node supports built-in HTML format and that the node supports multiple lines with different alignments.
Furthermore, the software offers the ability to assign icons and pictures to the node aligned to any side of it, with an AutoSize feature or fixed width and fixed height for any node supported. I found this to be very useful for creating organigrams that were both visually appealing and informative.
The ExOrgChart component also allows for customizable links and borders for nodes, with both the UNICODE and ANSI versions available. Finally, the software is built using 100% ATL and comes with many other features that I found to be helpful.
